CONCLUTION

 

 

A fast processing algorithm of the automatic counting device for counting spacers in a liquid crystals display (LCD) plate has been presented. It performs well in counting the number of spacers. We especially defined a counting mask which can detect the state of LCD plate very effectively and quickly. Deduced from the discriminate function analysis of spacers of a LCD plate, we can use an automatic counting device to replace artificial inspection. This system thus brings higher quality and effect to the LCD production line.
