Evaluation of Defects on an Optical Disc Master Plate

ABSTRACT
This paper presents a method to analyze and detect defects on the surface of a master disc, the cause of distorted images by applying a neural network program and micro-image technology. The referred method or system automatically, step by step detects defects in the disc electrical signal output to drive a x-y table and provide indicative information for managing contamination in a cleanroom of a manufacturing plant.
